About museum preserve

Established in 1868 by IA Yakovlev Simbirsk Chuvash teachers ' school became a major cultural and educational center, uniting the male teacher's school and teacher training courses, initial male and female college. Here Chuvash, Mordvins, Mari, Tatars and representatives of other peoples of Russia studied. Teaching staff was also multinational. On the territory of the school estate, there were six buildings: the lower body, a wooden wing, building of the domestic Church, the school building workshops, the upper building, men's two-year parochial schools. All buildings have been preserved to our days. At the present time in four buildings there is located Ulyanovsk school of culture, in the former home Church - the Church in the name of the descent of the Holy spirit upon the Apostles, and in "upper case" the museum "Simbirsk Chuvash school".
