of Russia"). In 2006 CJSC "Aviastar-SP" became a part of the OJSC "United aircraft Corporation" in the status of a Central assembly area. In the Ulyanovsk region there are two airports: "Ulyanovsk-Central" and "Ulyanovsk-Est". Ulyanovsk higher aviation school of civil aviation is the oldest educational institution for training of pilots for civil aviation.
